Disc spindles really make the stance wider. This pic is with the back wheels (17x9.5, 5.5bs), on it, but I will go with a narrower front wheel.

The stance looks to be about what I'm looking for. A little high, but hopefully it will settle some.

I got some work done this week. To start off, I took the front cap back off so that I could finish up a few things before the final assembly. I finished up the brake lines and now have brakes again since swapping to disc on the front. Then I dissasembled and changed the color of my dash to match the seats, swapped out the column and steering wheel, and just got a few minor things cleaned up and finished. I tried to install my windshield, but my help cracked it for me. Oh well, now I'll just get the glass company to come out and put a new one in. Then I tried to put in my rear glass, but my rubber seal was split. Hopefully it will start coming together soon.

I just saw this and your truck looks great! I'm re-doing mine also but with a red/white combo. What color of white do you have? I know there is several shades of white and I can't decide what would look the best. Any recomendations? Thanks

Which drop spindles did you end up going with? Trying to figure out if I need to do the modular CPP ones to pull the front wheels in...

Sorry it took me so long, I kept forgetting to look at the paint code. It's code 521 pure linen white. It's supposed to be the same as original. I think the bright white looks good against orange or red.

I'm making a little bit of progress, but I don't have any pics yet. I've got several things that I'm trying to finish, but I'm waiting for a few parts. I've got about half of the trim on, trying to put my headers and stainless exhaust on, installed my shoulder belts and am/fm today, and I still have some painting to do. I'm trying to get it done by the end of September so I can take it to Cruisin the coast.:metal:

I can't remember the brand, sorry, but they are 2.5" drop spindles made for mid 80's trucks.(1" rotor) I haven't heard about the modular spindles. I went with a 8" wide front wheel with a 5" backspace and they fit great, but my rear wheels are 9.5's with a 5.25 backspace, and the front track is still a little wider than the rear.
I should have some update pics next week.

The final push is on to get it done by October. I've been working on it for the last week and made some progress, but still have a lot to finish. I got most of the trim on, and I must say that I am impressed with this trim. I got it from Kingsparts (Goodmark), a few years ago. I also got the guts and glass in the driver's door. I had some bad spots in the paint on the driver side fender and the passenger door, so I decided to repaint them before I put the trim on them. I also got my headers and air cleaner on (now I need to find some nice valve covers), and I got my radio in an working along with a few other things here & there. Next is wiring up the LED tail lights.
