Bags will ride smoother and give you adjustable ride height,The con to bags is the price vs static lowering would be.

If bagging is in your budget, go for it. I battled with the same decision and decided on bags.

Thanks for posting the link andrewmp6. Our Pro1 kit linked above is a great kit and a lot of forum members are running this. I too, lean towards bags for the adjustability aspect.

My biggest suggestion is if you are going to bag it at least get a rudamentary air management setup. Compressor, tank, switches. Messing with shrader valves is a PITA for anything but mock up IMHO.

I know you didn't mention schraders but I saw this as a money saving avenue when I bagged my front end but it just wasn't worth the hassle.

In response to baclay9, i definitely see where you're coming from. However, it really depends on how you want to use your air suspension. Air bags offer a great ride, and I really enjoyed my truck while I had it on schraeder valves for a summer. Just make sure they don't leak, that could be a real hassle.

Well I just drive her or on weekends. Right now she is lowered with Bell tech Springs on the back work Nitro shocks. The front just regular cut Springs. The stance looks like a 3/5. Areas that I may drive are rough and bottoming out. So you could imagine the ride. On the Hwy it's smooth. I do not want to cut the bed.

I regret bagging our 68 Suburban because I didn't spend the money on a air ride management with height sensors. Very difficult to get the front set back to alignment specs.

Well it probably will be over $500 to get your truck set up with shrader valves, and even then, unless you get a perfect, leak-free system, you will probably have to spend 5-10 minutes every weekend before you drive, getting the bags to aligned height. The ride quality is great, and when I daily drove my truck on shrader valves, I only had to adjust them about once per month. It's personal preference.
You might get good results with proper drop springs in the front, too!
