Love this truck and your overall progress. "No-LIFE" to me is what these trucks are all about. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy looking at an immaculate show truck or a crazy custom.

Every ding and scratch has a story - thats why this truck has so much character, thanks for keeping it that way.

Again - nice work!

Ronnie

Thanks for the comments, Ronnie.

All of these trucks are expensive.
I really want another "done" show quality truck.
(like the '85 stepside that my buddy "hot trux" is building)

My blazer is really a beater,... and so it the '69.
I will finish the '69 when I can afford to buy a nice engine/tranny combo.
That's why I am stepping away from it for a bit.

I really like n2billet's Project Hazel and c10addicts '64 Dropmember truck.
I want something I can go to town in and not worry. A dependable driver, that I can load down with stuff at Lowes, and that might be allowed in at a Cruise Night also.

But,... someday I will have something again with "nice paint"!

Maybe I missed it what proportioning valve did you use ? I'm getting started on my 83 front crossmember swap on my 68 now proportioning valve is the only thing i don't have yet. Hope all the red parts I had worked out for you. The truck looks great to me . Bob

Hey Bob,... the parts I got from you were a perfect match.
I got my M/C and prop valve as a combo from www.PerformaceOnLine.com.
They have great products and fast service.
Since I bought my M/C,... POL now sells the same combo, except the M/C and prop valve are aluminum.
This eliminates the need to paint the M/C and watch is rust again in 6 months.
I highly recommend POL.

Since I started this thread I haven't even touched NO-LIFE.
It's stored away in my garage.
I'm working on a '70 stepside now.

See you at Des Moines Goodguys (with my blazer or something) this year!

Just saw this build! This truck is sweet, I love the stance! I can't wait to see what you have in store for this one or your stepside.

I think I want to rebuild the 292 and add some type of overdrive transmission to this one.
So it may be a while before I get back to it.
Thanks for the comments.

Not sure how I missed the thread on this one. Have you started a thread for the stepside?

No stepside thread.
When I make some "noticeable" progress on the stepside build,... I will start one.

Hey thanks for adding a link to your thread. I love this truck, by far 69-70 is my favorite add upper and lower chrome and you got me hooked. Most folks go all out for the 71-72 supers. I don't know if it's because of the tilt column option? But for me these are the best looking. Subscribed!

Thanks Mike.
The '69-'70 model has always been 3rd on my list of favorites.
'71-'72 were always 1st,... and '68's 2nd.
Somehow I now own both a '69 and a '70.

I guess maybe I really like them all.:metal:

I agree.
I do have a 73-87 3.42 posi rearend, that I could use.
I'm not sure how to connect the 200-4r TV cable to the stock carb without going to a small 4-barrel on a Offy intake.
(maybe I answered my own question. Ha)

Thanks for the comments!
I will always keep the original 292 6-cylinder.
If I could find a cheap 350/auto combo,... I would swap it in just so I could drive it a little.
But for now,... it will stay way back on the "back burner".
