Axle ID Needed (pics).....easy for the experts here!!!
OK,
Here's what I know: 71 or 72 Panel 5-Lug 2WD Here are the pics.... View from back cover http://www.norcalbigdawgs.net/Galler...Cover_View.jpg View of Pinion Side http://www.norcalbigdawgs.net/Galler..._Side_View.jpg I want to guess "12-Bolt", but I don't know enough about this type of vehicle to be 100%. I have seen the Eaton rears before and they are a lot "rounder" and the cover is almost a perfect half-dome shape, which this one clearly isn't. Anyone? Lots of good emoticons for whomever knows.... |

That is indeed a 12 bolt. Be aware if you ever have to get parts for it that you do need to specify TRUCK 12 bolt because the pinion shaft diameter is not the same as a car!

I am planning to use this axle to do some towing from time to time, and can't be having wheels spitting out from under the rig! Thanks again for the help! . |
