As long as it is not a reverse flow pump you should be okay.

I am/was concerned about the clearance to the fan. I am not familar with a reverse flow....is that for a serpentine system?

What is the issue with the reverse flow pump?

Here is my 350 in stock location with a long water pump. This is with the radiator in the stock 6 cylinder location. It is a big truck radiator which is 1" thicker than 1/2-3/4 ton units. If your radiator is a factory V8 setup it will be closer to the engine and you may have problems.

Thanks,
Your radiator looks the same as what I have....orieG looks to have an inch or better spacer after the pulley, in front of the fan....

With out measuring it I think it was 1" spacer to center the fan in the shroud opening. Leaves 2" or so between the fan and radiator. I ran the same setup with a 283, std radiator and short water pump for 15 years with out a problem. Shroud really helped.
