I am doing both, disassembled the whole body, cleaned, straitened sanded all, inside and out. Then Epoxy primer on everything, followed with 3-4 coats of base coat. Blue tape the edges etc, almost all the reassembly is done. My plan is to shoot the sides, I am probably not going to do the hood, cowl or top of the cab again, it may show some difference.
