By doing a little Googling and comparing images found against the ones in this thread, the most similar profile is something called a "Phillips Truss Head" machine screw. They look like this. The truss head screws have a wide, lower profile head. I do realize that the truss head screws don’t have the flat area where the Phillips “cross” is on the factory screws but the overall look is pretty close.

I can't really tell by the pictures on here if the head has a flat area or not. The machine screws in this eBay ad have a flat area but they are only 1/2" long. They must be available in different lengths though.
