He said they'd put a Q-tip gently against the eye next to the metal and twist it slowly, the fuzz would grab the metal and pull it out. That's actually what they did (after they numbed it). They had to use a bur to remove the rust that formed on my eye though.

Because of that, I wear glasses with the foam around them to make a good seal and also use a shield whenever possible. When you only have one left you need to take care of it.

I bought a full shield helmet for grinding and cut off wheels now. I prefer glasses but think I will use the helmet for this stuff.
