People have been putting 15" wheels on drop spindles for over 30 years.
Not sure what your concern would be?
The 5-lug steelies would be no different than a truck rally wheel.
(since they were made for 71-87 trucks and 88-91 2wd burbs, that all came with disc brakes)
The issue is when you have a
15" wheel with
more than 4" of backspace.
Ususally between 3.5"-4.25" BS you will need to trim the lower a-arm (in the balljoint area) to make them work with 2.5" and 3" drop spindles.
The real concern is when people do a
6-lug disc brake conversion,... and try to use pre-'71 steel wheels that aren't designed to clear the disc brake caliper.
