Re: Burb Fuel Tank Question
I think it's about 21gal. Been a while since I had to fill mine. I believe the dealer tank was about 45 gal.

Re: Burb Fuel Tank Question
Hey guys could anyone of you take a pic of the bottom side of your burbs around the fueltank area, I need to see where the hangers / strapps are located at. On the bottom of the frame or on the sides! Putting a poly burb tank in my 70 frame off project and scratching my head on the mounting points of the hangers/straps!
thanks Donnie

Re: Burb Fuel Tank Question
according to the owners manual, my 72 burb 3/4 ton should take about 3 more gallons than a 1/2 ton burb yet it only took 20 or so gallons to fill it when i ran out of gas awhile back (gas gauge issue or wiring/sender). they should have put a 31 or 40 gallon tank on these trucks like the later burbs have 'cause 200 miles is a very short distance to drive between fill ups. problem with the dealer tanks is they are ugly and too bulky looking. i may try to adapt a newer fuel tank to my burb in the future. first will be a swap from a 4.57 final drive to a 4.10 (i have the third member for my ho52 in hand) and then adding the OD unit to the sagniaw 3 speed. it is a bummer having a small 307 2 barrel engine and an efficient (manual) transmission and yet only getting 10-11mpg when i have seen 17 out of the 406sbc eventually going in my truck.
