T56 trans is getting stuck in 4th gear HELP

Prior to getting stuck there was no weird noises or grinding. Coming to a stop light I tried taking it out of gear and it would not come out. As I turned into a neighborhood I was able to work it free. I kept driving for a few minutes and everything checks out ok.

The car only has 15k on it. Do I need to rebuild?

Re: T56 trans is getting stuck in 4th gear HELP

Most likely a damaged 3-4 shift fork and/or broken fork pads, pretty common problem. The transmission will need torn down and inspected. Make sure you upgrade to the stronger steel 3-4 fork when you put it back together.
