Need help, cannot mount stock radio

I have a 68 CST that has what I assume is the original radio, part number 7305841, but there were no knobs when I bought it. I bought what I thought were correct deluxe knobs and cups off this board but for the life of me I cannot get the cups started on threaded part of radio.

Are there more than one set of cups/knobs or am I just missing something?

Thanks in advance, Joe

Does this thread help? Sounds like you may be missing the 4 nuts.

Yes it does, post 6 specifically is what I am missing. Thank you for posting, that was a big help.

It looks like what I thought were the spacers are actually for the wipers/headlight switches, or so they appear.

Joe
Yes, those would be for the cluster. Threaded on the inside.
