Parking Brake Cable

Is there a difference between the cables depending on transmission type? In my case TH350 vs TH400. I had a TH350 and installed a 2004r which needed the trans crossmember to be in the TH400 position. I notice that now the cable center area is touching the trans mount when the parking brake is applied.

I can't tell you off the top of my head if the secondary cables are a different length or not but I know the TH400 trans cross member has a metal loop on it that the cable goes through and the TH350 doesn't. Maybe you need the loop.

I posted pictures of the differences in this thread. Post #5.

Here's a picture I took from the top during tear down and one during the rebuild that may help. '69 C-20 with TH400 and 350. I don't have any pics of the underside of the truck.
