Smoke
We need a little help here guys!
Some of the good folks in Spokane are gonna set up some fans to blow all that forest fire smoke back north. As good neighbours we’re gonna set up some fans on the border and help boost it farther north. You guys south of Spokane could help too by sending a little more air north. If we all work togethor we can send it all east to Ontario. They won’t notice the smoke, as the smog is pretty deep already. Sure hope you guys can help! https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ne...cebook/109778/ |

Re: Smoke
LATE BREAKING NEWS!!
Residents tripped and fell over their power cords while on the roofs of their homes with fans, there is a lot injured or worse also firefighters called to rescue many others who cannot get down. Sorry I could not help myself. But this sounds like it could turn out very bad. I am taking a few days off because I am working outside right now and the air quality is horrible but rain is in the forecast. Be safe out there. |

Re: Smoke
Back in the '70s, there was a gal running for Mayor of Los Angeles who was wanting to bore giant holes in the mountains and install giant fans in them to blow the SMOG away. Can't make this stuff up!

Re: Smoke
Oh, no I'm not! My wife is the one who told me about it! I didn't live in LA city in those days, but in a remote part of the county.

Re: Smoke
It's a real story and has been kicked around for awhile, after that mayoral candidate proposed it.

Re: Smoke
One of Jethro Bodine's better ideas! Right up there with concrete tires for cars and saw blades turned backwards so Mr. Drysdale wouldn't wake up and catch him cutting down his trees!
