New 64 Stepper Project

I guess I need to let everyone know that I have made a deal on a 64 C10 short bed step side. The cab and sheet metal have had all the body work done and dipped, doors hung. The chassis is all put together and all powder coated (purple ) will have to do something about that.
Comes with a rebuilt 350 engine and 350TH trans. All the gauges are new, new bed from end to end, side to side still in boxes with the new wood. Glass and everything.
Disc brakes lowering spindles rear lowering springs etc. New Master brake (power) cylinder/Diaphram. The hood is in steel been stripped has two very small dings on the top/front that will have to be worked out.
The guy basically took everything apart and refurbished it ready to go back together and lost interest in it. Got it all for $5K
Pics to follow.
I will be putting a 200R4 in it probably and we will see about the engine latter. So I will need a empty case TH400 to re do the trans Xmember while it is still apart.
His wife isn't happy but I am.

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

Well I had to go back on the road to get er done, right now I'm in California. So I traded the TH350 for a 200R4. I tore apart the chassis to update it. I got a better hood, better master brake syste, purchased the Captainfab master brake and power steering booster etc etc etc. I can't access photobucket cause I'm on a can and string to get internet access.
I'll have to save this link to update it (forgot it was here).

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

Still need to finish the chassis and send it to powder-coat then reassemble. Body is about ready for the paint shop.

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

On your gauge cluster, what is the clock from?

Also, are all of the switches brand new? If so, where were they sourced from...need to buy the whole shabang of switches

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

Man I'm going to have to go and take pics of the rest of the neat stuff I got for Christmas this weekend. Thanks for the comments guys.
I'm going to now send the gauge panel to Instrument Services in Illinois to change out the Ammeter for a Voltmeter and a Electrical sending type oil gauge.. Then I think it will be just right

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

Thanks for the info again... Gerald had exactly what I was after, solid dude!

I used Williamson Instruments in AR to do the Ammeter to Volt Meter conversion, Oil Temp to Electrical and Gas Gauge to 12V...http://www.williamsons.com/

Not 100% on that... I just shipped it out and told them to 'make it happen' as to what I want to do... that was one item they went through.
