Burban

Hello my new burb has problem it's a six and it will run for a while then idle down and then just die unless i give it alittle gas I rebuilt the carb, but it still does it put new wires on that helped a little it's been two years since it was on the road i pulled the gas tank and cleaned it It had dead gas in it.I changed the points distributor cap and rotor,I guess new plugs are next,I wonder could it be the coil breaking down after it gets hot or what's going on.Maybe it just needs a total tune up.Hmmmm any idea's Thanks Randy

Did you try replacing the fuel lines, you might have a break down in a rubber hose it will cause it to run and then die.

when you say it runs for awhile does that mean when its cold and the choke is on?

i also wonder if your linkage is a bit sticky and the idle isnt quite set high enough.

Re: Burban

I found out what the problem was. went to rebuild the carb and the bottom gasket was flipped around the wrong way. problem fixed..
