Re: More progress on project cherry bomb

Got my seat mounts built today, I think they turned out great. Now I get to take 'em out paint 'em and put 'em back after the carpet goes in. Tomorrow I build the exhaust then the cab can go on.

What do you have on those headers to make them look that clean? Doesnt look like ceramic coating ... i could be wrong.

Looking amazing!

Re: More progress on project cherry bomb

Finally got the cab back on and hoping to temp rig the engine to fire. After sitting for 2.5 years I think it needs some oil circulation.

I think that we even have the same headers and plugwire looms!

Re: More progress on project cherry bomb

I got more done on the front end, grill loops, parking lights, and got the dash pad in. Still working on the wiring and heater controls. I hope to be firing up the engine in the next couple weeks.

Re: More progress on project cherry bomb

I tried to use the original virmillian poly laquer but I couldn't get it to look good enough so I found a burgandy enamal that looked close.

Thats awesome...I love that color.....My first truck was Vermillion...I'm actually thinking about painting my 70 that color w/the two-tone white top like yours...You just don't see it very often......so It's cool to see in fesh paint!

Looks great! I'm sure you noticed it, but I would vacuum off/blow off the dust on the heater box/etc. before you get any more interior in.
