finally drove my 76 after 2 years of work

Well I finally got my GMC driving down the road after 2 long years (engine and acc., trans, dshaft, interior, gas tank all new)

Still gotta install dryer and charge A/C but here's some fresh pics

That is one fine looking truck you have. I like the work many people do on their trucks, but I tend to like restorations best.

Thanks guys

All started from blown head gasket or cracked head. Engine was overall filthy and worn so pulled it, and built a new one. We all know the rest of the story...clean and paint this, replace this....fix previous owners crap lol

Thanks jonboy, it runs great, carb is adjusted just right and electric choke performs like it should, great oil pressure, voltage and water temp

1969 C10 LWB -- owned for 34 years. 350/TH350, 3.08 posi, 1st Gen Vintage Air, AAW wiring harness, 5-lug conversion, 1985 spindles and brakes.
1982 C10 SWB -- sold
1981 C10 Silverado LWB -- sold, but wish I still had it!
1969 C10 (not the current one) that I bought in the early 1980s. Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming.
Retired as a factory automation products salesman.
Worked part-time over the years for an engine builder and a classic car repair shop.

Thanks, my 76 grill was nice condition but I found a good 73/74 grille and painted/restored it. I just liked it better plus the black bezels and amber turn lense.

Thanks, I have them on valve covers too. Engine is kinda plain jane looking so wanted to add something and being a gmc I didn't want the chevy turbo fire decals.

I found myself a air dam like the one you got very cheap. There was 1 still available from Gm back east had my parts guys order it in for me at the dealership I was working at thanks for that part number
