Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good Blazer...
Thanks for the props everyone. You guys keep motivated.
XXL is just yankin' your chain. Could be cool though. Hmmmm... So I spent some time test fitting the inner plates. They require a lot of trimming/fitting because of the panhard crossmember. I started out by clamping a straight edge to the framerail to use as a guide to cut it straight. This allows the inner and outer plates to be parallel. Next, I made a cardboard template of the inner plate and cut it to fit. It is clamped in place and ready to burn in. I also fitted the top cap. Next step is weld it up and cut the frame!

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good Blazer...
Well I got mine welded in without your help I also figured out that I could still use my rear trailing arms with a 3" block to use all but 1/2" of my notch. I guess I am going ahead with the nascar truck arms instead of the 4 link.

Lil' more progress- mostly just an excuse to post some needless pics . I used the old captured nut trick to install the 'button' bumpstops. They are slightly forward of the notch centerline 'cause that's where the axle will rest when dumped. I also got the panhard bracket trimmed and installed the other side's bumpstop.
