Check out this truck!!!!

I finally got to meet a the owner of Ironworks street rods. He invited me to check out his shop and his truck after meeting him at the Bakersfield NHRA drag races. I am a huge fan of there work and after meeting the owner and checking out his quality of work i am even a bigger fan. I can't even explain how insane everything was carefully designed and built. It is a 1956 Chevy with a C6 drivetrain and suspension. Also even though the pics show coilovers he designed it to use with shockwaves. Enjoy

Josh

Ps. the truck isn't finished yet so not everything is put together.

Wow! That's beautiful.
That truck will not be driven, it's going to be a trailer queen.
Fun for car shows but not fun to drive.

Re: Check out this truck!!!!

Yeah it is a sweet truck. He is going to sell the truck after it gets done. I guess he started to build the truck as just a shop truck but after they got started it just keep getting more and more custom. There are so many things on this truck that unless someone pointed them out you wouldn't even know. For example: the inside of the doors where completely cut out and rebuilt so you can have more access to the inside of the doors with a custom door skin. I think it was for down the road you can access the power window parts without scratching anything. Also the rear window was cut out and moved down so it would be centered in the space between the top of the cab and the bed. I hope my truck when done will be somewhere close to this truck and i would be extremely happy.

Re: Check out this truck!!!!

87lowrider, both the truck and the nova are running LS based engines. I know the one in the nova is the new LS-7.The truck, I cant remember. But both are the said LS based engines from 1998 and up GM engine family. The truck runs a knisler fuel injection.

I saw the Nova and all i got to say is WOW!! I have some pics of it but wasn't sure if i should post them on the truck forum. That nova was amazing. I was never a big fan of the 66 and 67 novas but after seeing that one i wanted to go out and buy one right now. You should look at the 67 chevelle that he just started. That one all he said was this is going to be unreal on how much stuff is going into this car. The truck has a 402 or 406 LS motor. I don't remember exactly but something like that.

On another note when he finishes the truck he is taking it to some big wig GM party where they are going to give him a 09 Camaro to build into a 7sec drag racing car. He is supposed to have it done in a few months.
