Tremec TKO's and engine mounting location
Got a 250 straight 6, interested in the TKO series of 5 speed tranny. Currently running the SM465, plan on running the mechanical linkage to get me up and running. I want to keep the L6 for the time being, but may upgrade to an SBC in the future. Here are my questions.
Once I get the tranny, install it, and shorten the driveline, will I have to redo it all if I go with the SBC? The L6 IS kinda long... How does this perform with the mechanical linkage setup? Anyone have it?

V8 mounts are closer to the front than I6, hypothetically it should work, but i don't know for sure

Whenever you replace the 6 with a V8…

Could someone point me in the right direction on the motor mounting holes? A link would be cool if available. I will admit it, the search function here kicks my @ss everytime I use it. Thanks for your links Willy P, much appreciated.
