you gonna just hook a toggle to it? If you have to jab the brakes when it's locked, it'll stall the engine, and that is torrtue on the converter, as is lugging it in lock up.
Any controller kit should have it all wired up and done right.

Re: 700r4 lockup plug question ASAP

This kit comes with a pressure switch that goes into the trans or tapped into the servo cover and has a roll of red wire and a roll of black wire and a terminal for the factory plug but isnt real clear on what wires go where. NO this is not a toggle switch its a pressure switch that locks the converter into forth at a set pressure. this does it all on its own. I just need to know what wires are what on the plug so I can wire it in.

Re: 700r4 lockup plug question ASAP

refer to this web page for lock-up wiring. It gives a lot of tips on lock-up and if you can identify the "A" and "D" terminals on the trans plug then 12 volts goes to "A" and "D" is grounded.

Re: 700r4 lockup plug question ASAP

If you are still wondering about this, post the serial number on the side of the trans, and i can look it up in my manual, and tell you what to do.
