radio mounting bracket placement - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am putting a stock AM back in my truck and was wondering where the mounting bracket is attached. To the firewall? My truck has nothing in that area to put a bracket to. Anyone know? Thanks< Dave

There should be a small bracket on the firewall just behind the radio with a clip nut on it.

Someone may have removed the bracket as it screws to the firewall. Here is a pic of it.
