Re: Al's Liner- Deal of the month- Till July 31

Barry just to add....I used Als Liner on Sweet Pea....Super easy to do...Great results...And I would not do any other liner....Now Although I am sponsored by Al's....I looked into their product way before any of that took place.....Superior to all bed liners..I have sprayed several.....Edit...I even got my boss doing his dually...We should start that next week...I just have to get back with Dana....I will take photos of before...during and after.....

What is all involved in mixing up a batch of red to the mix. I need to go and get some red paint without the chemicals in it right? Looking to do a long bed Chevy Bed, is the kit enough to do it. Thanks Trevor

The kit comes with 4 oz's of black pigment, you'll discard that and use 8 oz's of your color choice. Then spray normally. I would suggest you getting 2 kits of material for a long bed. so you have sufficient coverage. Let me know if you need any more questions answered.
Thanks, Barry

Re: Al's Liner- Deal of the month- Till July 31

By my calculations from the resources page, it will take 5 gallons to get 65 mil thickness in a longbed like mine.

I might have missed something but how much product comes in your kit/spray gun package? If it's just 1 or 2 gallons then how much will the additional 3 or 4 gallons cost me?

I'm also curious how tough this product is compared to rhino or line-x?

I'm not going to argue with your calculations. 65 mills is pretty thick though. You can get a good coating with 2-3 gallons of material. The good thing about Al's liner, if you spray it in and decide you want it thicker, you can spray it over itself to build it up even more.
As for comparison to Rhino, and linex. Al's liner is a stand alone product. Rhino linex fades out due to UV rays. Al's Liner does not. Plus you'll have the added expense of installation. That's just one comparison.

My promotion is for 1 gallon, and one spray gun 135. additional kits would 95 regular price after July 31st.If you want more than one kit, I'll give a 10% discount off the entire order, excluding shipping.
Thanks for the interest

Re: Al's Liner- Deal of the month- Till July 31

Hey guys,

Great seeing all the interest on here, the traffic across the website has been amazing. We appreciate everyone taking a look and hope you will all give us a try. If you have questions on the background or history of Al's, you can check out www.scorpioncoatings.com. In April of 08 we convinced Scorpion to put out a DIY Kit to put the rest to shame, it's not reduced or cut in any way shape or form, definitely the highest solids content liner available in a DIY kit, this is why an 1/8th or 1/4" is not necessary, one gallon will go a long way and we recommend no more than two for a truck you are going to work.

Feel free to drop us a line with any questions and certainly hit Barry up, he works hard for us and we want to see him successful in his venture.

Thanks again,

Dana Mitchell, Al's Liner

it hardens up once dry, but at the same time its pliable. Definitely not like undercoating.

Ohh me me. I have used this 3 times already.. Did the underside of my cab, used it as a sound deadner. I then turned around and used it as a bed liner... Awesome stuff. Before you spray it, play with the gun a bit to get your desired texture... The first time i used it i didnt read the instructions and i just PULLED the trigger full on.... Puts it on super thick and doesnt have that texture i was looking for. Once i actually read the instructions and was very light on the trigger you can get it to look EXACTLY like linex.....

Barry, i need some more for the INSIDE of the cab now so i will be calling you soon... glad to see you on here...

Pics of bedliner.

Re: Al's Liner- Deal of the month- Till July 31

I noticed on your webpage that a coat of etching primer is recommended on bare metal - mine was blasted to bare metal, then coated with epoxy primer. Is it a problem to spray the liner directly over it?

No you shouldn't have a problem. Just the scuff the epoxy primer, clean, and shoot the liner in.
