Re: fender and hood question

If your 72 latch is GMC, then it may work, not sure.
If the 72 latch is chevy, then no.
If the fender is GMC, then yes
If the fender is a Chevy, then no.

Re: fender and hood question

The 67 - 68 fenders were the same other then the fact that the 67 did not have a hole for the side marker light. The wiring harness is different because the parking lights did not burn on the 1967 Chevrolet when the headlights were on.

In 69, they went from a sloped hood to a straight up hood and the shape of the tops of the fenders are slightly different and the hood lines do not match up.

67 - 68 = the hood latch should be under the bow tie emblem in the center of the grill. The safety catch would have been under the hood for the 68 and up if I remember correctly.

Too many years of working in a junk yard and body shop and too many years since I drove the '71 Blazer or the 67 Panel Truck.

You know - you do it, and you don't even think about it, then when someone asks how you did it , you can't remember. Yet I can still remember most of the colors of the wires in the wiring harness.

Re: fender and hood question

The hood latch won't work. The 67-68 latch is different from the 69-72. I went from my stock 70 hood to a 67-68 hood. Had to replace the latch and grille support in order to get it to work.
