72 Cab headliner question

Is the cab actually different/offset for the headliner or do you just need to drill the holes to add one. I should know this, but I do not.

Re: 72 Cab headliner question

I wouldn't say the cabs are different, except the General punched the holes for the headliner clips, but they could delicately be cut out. There is not much room for slip up to cut them out. Longhorn Man, I think I remember, showed pics of screws he used years back to hold up the headliner trim were too long by not much, and he screwed them through the outer roof skin. Trevor

Re: 72 Cab headliner question

The cabs are not different except for the holes. I've just put them up with adhesive (liquid nail, etc) without the chrome & it works fine, looks very clean, and it's gotten lots of compliments, even from "purists" who demand that everything be stock.
