thanks for the pictures i'll pass on the alt but i'm interested in the speedo how much for it and the wireing harness to hook it up my truck has the dummy lights.

What part of the wire harness do you need. I plan on putting all custom gauges in this truck and probably dont need much of the dash wiring. Ill take a look at the harness and see if I can do with it!!!

i don't know what wires i would need i have never done the guage swap from dummy lights to guages,i would do a search on it but the search is not working,i'm going to say the wiring harnes inside and out?

I changed my dash from lights to gauges in my 84 suburban. You will have to change the complete wiring harness to the cluster. It will take you some time. Get the wiring harness that was with the cluster from the truck you took it off of.

thanks.tommy for the info.that; is what i thought i would need the inside wiring harness. my truck came out with a 6 banger and,since it has a v8 in it now.and i trust the guages more than the dummy lights i'm going to change the wiring harness; dash and, firewall for the v8.

Do you know if the steering gear box will fit in a '86 4x4?

Not sure if gear box wil fit a 4x4 or not. Doghouse from 83 has very slight amount of repairable rust at underneath corner where core support bolts up to fender. $275. Blocks are 4" and are made by western chasis. Thanks!!
