Sub AC question

I have a 70 Sub that appears to have a factory or dealer add on AC system. Ok...this truck only has the rear AC that goes all the way to the front of the truck down the center of the ceiling. The main heater system is a standard non AC set up. Now the compressor and condenser set up is all factory components. The whole system appears to be GM. The spid doesn't mention AC so it's my thought it is a dealer add on. Any body seen or have on of these systems? I'm also considering on parting this truck out and curious what it may be worth. This is not a for sale add just looking for info and ideas of value. Thanks

Re: Sub AC question

The A/C sounds like a dealer add on.
Mine had it, and I took it all out since it was too troublesome to maintain.

In my set up, it had a giant square shaped compressor made by York and a condenser unit that would drip a huge lake of water into the truck

Took it all out and trashed it.

As for worth of parts, it all depends on condition.
The entire front clip is PU and Blazer compatible, so your market is much bigger. from the front doors back its burb only, and if the big stuff like doors and rear doors are rust free you can get a good price for them. Especially the rear doors.

Re: Sub AC question

I have that setup on mine and pulled it off the roof and I am working on putting it under the second row seats and building a custom console to blow the air up to everyone.
No idea if it will work or not
