Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Who ever converted it did a pretty nice job. They made a km/h speedometer for these trucks to if you wanted to get one, like this: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...Fh#post3639591

Do you mean the SPID label http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=544989 or the build sheet that would have been in between the seat foam and springs?

what is the size of those wheels/tires? those are exactly the size i want for my k10 (or at least it looks the size that i want mine to look in comparison to the wheel wells)

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

There are a few RHD Conversion outfits in Australia, some are better than others.

They charge upwards of $7Gs to do a conversion, then add it to the cost of buying your car/truck.

I'll take anything, SPID Label, Build Sheet, VIN Stamps Stickers etc...
Any info I can find on my truck and where to find them will be help full.

I know the tranny has part of the VIN as does engine.

I found the VIN Sticker in LH Door but it's nearly all faded and just hanging on there.

VICROADS (our DMV) reckons the truck is 79, but the vin suggests 1980.

Oh yeah I love the KM tacho and Revs...

hey man look out for our Aussie V8 Supercars hittin Texas May 17 2013, they are monsters 190mph bullets. GMH (Holden) belongs to the GM brand.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

The SPID would have been on the inside of the glove box door.
The build sheet would have been under the bottom right of the seat.
According to the grille its a 1980 so the VIN should be on the left side of the dash close to the windshield (It might have gotten covered by the custom dash pad).
A partial VIN can be found on the top side of the right frame rail close to the rear cab mount, i'm not sure about the engine/ trans vin.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Yeah I saw one a while back that was made by some company that I think is out of business now, If I remember right it was a complete kit that had never been installed.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Traded a 2000 Saturn to a young married couple yesterday for this:

The plans for it are to get it in shape over the next three years so my boy can have a first car to go to school in. In the mean time, I'm going to be driving it and grabbing parts for the 52 Chevy 3/4 ton.
