67 Suburban tailgate
I have a 67 Suburban, soon to have a 472 from a '69 Cadillac and TH-400 trans, will be very cool. My tailgate is bashed in pretty bad - what years will interchange, and is it even possible to find one anywhere? May have to spring for the bucks to just have it fixed.

Re: 67 Suburban tailgate
67 through 72 are your interchangeable years for your tailgate.

Re: 67 Suburban tailgate
Good looking 67 burb you have there...and like the sound of that big block caddy motor. I have a tailgate from a 72 burb I am slowly parting...can post a few pics for you and see if it may be a better starting point for you. And welcome to the board, this by far the best vehicle related forum/board on the net!

Re: 67 Suburban tailgate
Thanks everybody for the nice welcome and all the good info. This bad boy Suburban will eventually be flat black with a dark gray top, bumpers, wheels, etc. We use it for towing, camping, and driving around in the woods, so it'll never be a show truck, but a driver. Even now, with a tired 350 and a 4-speed, it gets 16 mpg. Not bad for $800. I didn't test drive it or even start it before I paid the guy. I know a steal when I see one.
