Another AC question?

I recently had my AC charged up, new compressor, all new lines, and I found a local shop with some R12 to charge it. The AC works and is ice cold, but if I drive for about an hour or so with it on, it starts to get a little warm inside the truck. I opened the hood when I got home, and the big return line had a good layer of frost/ice on it. By looking at the water flowing from my ac/heater box shortly after, I'm getting the part inside there was frozen as well?

Any ideas what it is before I bring it back to the guy?
Thanks

Re: Another AC question?

Possibly the POA valve may be sticky and needs attention. An alternative is to temper the AC with a little heat to melt the ice. You can do that with a little move of the heat lever. If it's ice cold, dialing in a little heat could do the trick, and won't drive you out of the cab. Look at the view port on the receiver-dryer to see if there are any bubbles. If there are no bubbles, you likely still have a full charge. I have seen this on brand new cars and trucks, when I worked for a Chevrolet (well, actually two different ones) dealer in the early '70s.
