Door striker alignment
Doing a frame off trying to get doors to shut properly having trouble aligning strikers can any one help with suggestions. Many thanks.

First I would line the door up without the striker. Get all your lines and gaps like you want them first. Then you can install the striker. Install it snug where you think it will close and try it slowly. The slots in the door jam allow for movement to line it up. just make small changes each time. I like to get the up and down alignment first the just tap the striker in and out to get it to close. If you are to high it will lift the door and not close properly. Remember to shim the striker to align.

The above poster nailed it.
Just make sure you make very small adjustments. A little goes a long way with these.
