stock 5 lug steel wheels 16.5 x 8

I ran across a set of 5 of these. They look to be stock and have the nubs to accept 10" dog dish hubcaps. Are they worth anything?
Thanks,
Ray

Re: stock 5 lug steel wheels 16.5 x 8

Not a whole lot these days. Back in the (bias ply) day,16.5 was the only way to get a wide hiway truck tire. The rule was get more plies,so 8-plies were available in the new wider/lower profile 16.5s,which is why these wheels exist. I put a set on C/10 40 years ago. These days most shy away from the more common 16.5 8-lugs due to limited tire offerings and fear of being discontinued. A person can get a wide range of tires in 15" and even 16" these days and radials handle weight well enough that on a lighter use truck a passenger car tire can do the job.
They are really cool and really rare, but more or less obsolete. I'm a vintage wheel junky and they temp me even knowing I'd probably never use them. There are freaks like me out there and someone will want them. I think I'd try to get what stock 15s go for, which seems to be about 100 bucks these days.

Thanks for the reply. I have a chance to get these for $10 each, but wasn't sure if it was worthwhile.
