Unhappy Temp. gauge

I have a "72" sub with a 250 six pop. My question is can the stock temp gauge be hard wired? I've replaced the circuit thingy, changed the sending unit, and even a new gauge, it stays pegged.Any ideas or solutions will be greatly appreciated,Ed

Re: Temp. gauge

Seems to me that I had that issue and did the same fixes you did, when I changed the dash bulbs I had put one in the spot for the idiot light and once I removed it it worked as it should.
