Power Brake booster Question...

I just bought a new 8" power booster to clear the tall covers of my big block. The unit fits great, but the pushrod from the center of the booster doesn't look long enough to connect to the MC. If a Vacuum is applied, will the rod move out?

The truck is not running, so I cant test the theory...anyone know?

The rod will move out (toward the vacuum fitting.
