AC resistor

any body have any pics of where this mounts....does it need to be grounded?

The part you are asking about is actually a relay. There is a great reference in post 13 in the thread linked below that was, for obvious reasons, closed. Best to ignore the balance of the thread.

that relay screws to the side of the A/C fiberglass case inside the cab. I'll see if I can find a pic showing it....

Mine needed to be grounded. If I am not mistaken, it screwed to a piece of sheet metal on the drivers side of the A/C box. I don't know if it was relocated during a previous repair.

BTW reading the posts beyond 13 gave me a chuckle.

It screws to the side of the heater core air box (inside cab) on the right side toward the top of the box. Barely enough room to connect the electrical plug connector due to interference with upper cowl dash. use a mirror of feel with your hand to find the two mounting holes.
