Brake booster support brackets...help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am im the process of disk conversion for my 68 C10...i could use a little help with the installation of these brake booster brackets. A few pics would really be useful, do i need both of them? I am using a 72 set up with a brand new booster/MC/port.valve set up from Brothers. thanks

Here are a few from before I pulled mine. First two are the same photo, just one highlighting where they are. Third one is a closer shot but I've highlighted where the upper end attaches. They don't show exactly where the upper one attaches to the firewall but I'm pretty sure it's right about where it is in the pics.
I'm sure I have others, would just have to do a bit of searching because I have somewhere between 8-9000 photos taken when pulling things apart.

thanks alot, it looks like i have to use both of them,,,ive seen a few pics where only one bracket is used (the larger one) on C10s and the other one on k10s, but never both of them on the same truck. thanks again...i will continue to cruise the site for more pics...

Is the firewall thatbflimsybto need both brackets? I get the one that supports under as the booster assembly does have some heft, but wasnt the side bracket overkill?

Has anyone seen the firewall area crack or anythi g from the weight?

The one that is more tubular goes to the backside of the emergency brake bolt (69-72 style emergency brake actuator). If you have a 68 cab you won't have this bolt or the raised portion of the cab or even a hole for it, and in fact, the fuse block may or may not be in the way even if you were to try to put it there. I've seen lots of pictures of people adding the aftermarket power brake setups (usually the CPP ones) and have noticed that they don't run the brackets. I'd also be interested to know if they are really necessary.
