R134 conversion steps

I am seeing sideways after reading multiple forums on how to convert from R12 to R134. All provide links, ideas, suggestions, opinions, etc but haven't been able to find a good step by step procedure. No one forum is the same as the other? My compressor burnt up so I plan to replace and want to keep the stock look without spending a large amount money for the conversion. I am looking for the dumb down steps from our experts who have done this in the past. A possible parts list or an expert in the South east GA area to share knowledge?
