Those white wheels look nice on that red truck. Are those wheels original color with the red body? The chevy specs say that the wheel color was painted to match the body color, as I understand it. However, on my red 66 c10 , three out of the four wheels were originally painted white. Just wondering if perhaps your truck was painted this way originally.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

When we inherited the truck it didn't have the original wheels with it, instead it had some slot mags. From what I understand is if it were a two tone truck it had wheels that matched the main color and if it was a solid color the wheels were black. In my case they were originally red. Have the old family photos to prove it. Were mainly focused on making the truck stock but the wheels we thought would look better white. If you have some white wheels I bet they're off of a different year of truck for mine were.

Dropped off a shipment at FedEx and then took my Mercury 7.5 to get serviced.

Nothing today, but we did just drive it home from the World of Wheels in Pittsburgh (in January).

Took third place in it's class and got 1 of 4 Exhibitor's Choice awards.

Not a big deal, but drove it to work today. Glad I got the "deluxe heater" working, as it was cold and wet this morning.

^^great pic

Took a load of empties back to the country store, nice day for a drive. Truck ran great. Fiddled with my light switch (fresh off the victory of getting my headlights working), and got the dome light operable.

Good idea with the bracket. Waiting to see it on the truck see how it looks. Should be nice.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

Used the truck to carry a couple bucket loads of mulch and plants over the weekend. The new owner of the nursery couldn't believe I was going to dump it in the bed lol. I did lay a tarp down to help though. But she still gets used as a truck from time to time.

Thanks man! Yeah Carson loves to be outside doing anything. And gotta have Old Glory flying on the porch. I'm wanting to put air on the truck for this summer. Already starting to get a little toasty.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

So yesterday, I was at a shopping mall. I was driving the old '65 Chevy because the water pump went out of the damn Dodge. Back of Ol Blue had about 10 cases of bottled water, some other ****. As I was just about to leave, a bunch of Japanese tourists came up and ask if they could take pictures. I'm thinking "Oh, of the truck. ".
None of them could speak English very well. .
So I got out and let them take pics, which drew in some other people, who started asking questions- What year? How's it run?, ect.
It was the weirdest thing. Ol Blue is a tourist attraction.

Pic of Ol Blue:

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

Spent a few hours stripping my passenger door down to the bare metal along with the door jamb. Took care of some rust issues before they get out of hand. Replaced the door check, and wire wheeled my sill plates and got them repainted.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

started out with a good weekend.....after changing out a bad fuel pump that has kept the old girl sitting for far to long, went to start her to find the battery dead....no biggie. Charged her up and nothing, battery was dead. So after another $150 bucks for a new battery finally got her running and spent the weekend quite happy, drove her to get her washed and gassed and whatnot. Started to drive her to work this morning and almost there heard a huge boom from under the hood and smoke started pouring out. After looking under the hood, the upper radiator hose burst, completely blew in half and sent fluid everywhere. Another $40 for new hose/fluid. Now I get to wash out the engine bay tonight because I cant tell if the smell is coming from the fluid that covered my engine block or if I messed something up when it blew.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

Worked on the brake pedal push rod and setting the booster to master cylinder clearance. All set up on my bench, so when I get the truck back from paint jail install should be a breeze.
