4l60e output shaft too much play ???

Hy all....

after i was able to get some miles on my truck this year....i had to recognize that i have a Kind of Vibration of the drivetrain at around 60 mph ....

Also i have a leaking rearshaft seal....

So therefore i have dissambled the driveshaft today....
Next week i will bring the driveshaft to a shop for balancing..

Also i checked the Output shaft of the 4l60e.... pls have a look at the Video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY7R...ature=youtu.be

Do u think the Play / movement of the shaft is normal ??

thanks a lot and i wish a happy Christmas time !!

You need to put the yoke in and check it, you cant tell without it in there.

Re: 4l60e output shaft too much play ???

The yoke supports the output shaft. There will be tons of play when the yoke isn't installed. If there is play in the yoke after you install it, the bushing in the housing is worn. In extreme cases, the yoke can be worn.

The video you posted is normal.
