Re: How to prep chrome bumper for paint?
B.W. and Flashed
Thank You for your input! Now I am curious what all etching involves. I have a beater chrome rear sport bumper on the truck, I figured I would scuff and shoot with white paint to match my front bumper. I want to find a clean factory painted bumper to replace it with. but so far no luck. Thanks again for your thoughts! All the best, Dirk |

Re: How to prep chrome bumper for paint?
Sandblasting is the best method. Just a fair amount of light whisping from a distance...you are not trying to remove the chrome, just turn it dull & a bit rough. Give it a good coat of epoxy primer & do any bodywork from there. A couple coats of urethane primer & then you're ready to paint. Lorne
