Frame notch for aftermarket Blazer tank?

The neck on the Blazer tank interferes with the frame rail... has anyone notched out their frame rail to fit the tank neck? How much did you take out? Is the frame still safe? Any reason you didn't get the Suburban tank? I don't think I would chop out too much of the frame.
