Repairing rusty cab mounts

Just wanted to share how I repaired some rusty mounts on the cheap.

I found 1-1/2" Washers will fit the cab mounts perfectly.

Set the washers in place, tack them, cut both pieces at the same time, insert washer, weld up!

Total cost = <$1.00.

Genius! As long as it's the same gauge or thicker metal. Sure beats welding in a solid patch then getting one of those expensive mega dollar 1 1/2" rotabroach bits to drill the hole.

Yes the washers are quite thick, Good penetration will keep them there for as long as i will be around.

That is exactly what i was trying to avoid. I'm kinda cheap when i can be.

This could repair could also be done in the frame.
