2017 Manchester NH Cruisin' Downtown
Crusin' Downtown is an annual show in Manchester NH which benefits local charities. It's been growing every year and this year had over 1400 vehicles. Here are pictures of some of the GM trucks at this year's show.
Unfortunately my truck didn't make it. The rubber in the 50+ year old harmonic balancer had failed. During removal of the lower pulley all the threads in one of the pulley bolt holes came out. Now I have to install a heli-coil into a balancer so I can remove the part and throw it away. <sigh> Last edited by 1project2many; 09-06-2017 at 11:10 AM. |

Nice photos, thanks for sharing. That looks like a pretty laid back low pressure event.
Someday I want to make a trip back there to visit a cousin, see the fall colors and visit my great how ever many times back grandparents graves in Petersborough.

Re: 2017 Manchester NH Cruisin' Downtown
It's definitely a fun day. Lotsa cool cars, too. Fast stuff, fun stuff, and expensive stuff can be parked right next to cars that make you shrug (like the stock 4 cyl equipped J2000 wagon with a giant wing on the roof). You never know what your going to get.
The "Merrimack St Garage" in the background of one of the photos is a former Oldsmobile dealership built in the '20s. The service department is on the 2nd floor. Very cool place. If you ever make it out, Peterborough is a hop, skip, and jump away from me. |

Re: 2017 Manchester NH Cruisin' Downtown
I love this one because it looks like my truck the day I drove it home in 1974.
There was most certainly a bunch of very nice trucks there. Thanks for posting them. Brian

http://www.hobbycar.com/ The truck owner did not buy the wheels and unfortunately he does not know what style they are. I would guess they are "Smoothies." http://www.truespoke.net/Smoothie.html |

I'm sorry, but no. I can ask but it may take a couple more days as the question has to go through a couple of people. Anything else I should ask?

Nice trucks there. Looks like a good assortment of cars and trucks to look at. That blue "two-way" truck looks like the work was done nicely, but makes me think of the saying, "just because you can doesn't mean you should."
