Made a little more progress lately on the truck. I've been working on the center console and I think I've done my last layer on bondo/ filler. I just need to sand it down a little more, then I can work on the top compartment lid. After that it just need to be wrapped in black vinyl.

I got word from my buddy that the motor is in and everything will fit once he is done with it. He said there was plenty of clearance for the oil pan and that he will need to modify both exhaust manifolds to make them fit. He also needs to remove some of the bolts that hold the exhaust manifolds on since they are stuck in there now.

Just got the center console 90% done yesterday. I gave it to my neighbor to upholster. We are going with black vinyl and redish/ orange exposed thread. I painted the MDF with Killz primer just to give it a little protection from moisture.

Hey man, I don't have any pics but the engine is in. Trans is still being worked on and I think the gas tank is also in. It's at my friends shop waiting for him to get it running. Hopefully within the next few weeks it will be running.

Got an update on my truck. Fuel system is done, cooling system is done, stock exhaust manifolds have been modified and now fit like they should. Battery and cables were being installed yesterday. We are working on finding a driveshaft or we are going to have one made. It's getting there. I hope it's up and running in the next few weeks.

Sounds like your making good progress. There are a few driveshaft shops in the Providence area. I want to check it out once it's on the road, I'm starting to plan my LS swap for this winter now. Would love your input

Once it's on the road we will have to get together. I can to check out your suspension work and brakes as well. The goal is to have it running this month. But that was also last months goal as well, lol.

Got a pic this morning from my buddy who's doing the motor install on the Suburban. It's getting there. Everything in the engine bay is in it's final resting spot and installed other than the coolant overflow tank.

I hope to be driving this truck by next month, we shall see.

At this point its he is just finishing up installing the transmission, driveshaft, connecting the shift to the trans, trans cooler and some other wiring and that's about it. The brakes also need to be rebuilt as well.

We ended up using a ebay cheaper radiator that a friend of mine had and gave me a good deal on.

Had a rendering of my truck done by Chad at Rendered Rides. I think it came out great. Can't wait to get the truck running and eventually looking like this.

A few more quick renderings Chad did for me just to see what this color combo looked like.

I think I still like the red/ white better but this will probably be what the truck will look like this year and probably next year until I can get it either painted or wrapped.

Got my center console back from my neighbor who wrapped it in black vinyl. I still need tot trim the top piece for the armrest/ storage compartment. I also need to finish the cup holder plate.

Thanks Leon. I'm searching for a drop in plastic compartment for the storage area under the armrest. It looks like I should be able to find something at the marine stores. I just need to verify the exact size.

Thanks buddy, I don't think so. It's still at my friends shop and I'm waiting for an update from him. He was getting the motor to crank last weekend but was still dealing with a wiring issue. He keeps on telling me it's getting very close.

Still working on the truck. I ordered coils, shocks, track bar and shock relocators from CPP. They should be arriving this Friday. Went with 3" drop coils for the front and 4" HD coils for the rear.

Also still working on the center console. That is almost done as well. Truck is running after a few hiccups. Power steering is done and it has a temporary exhaust on it now. My buddy is going to install the coils and springs then deliver it to me so I can start working on the interior seats and exterior. Then it really will only need the rest of the exhaust to be able to be driven.

Can't wait to get this truck back and to get the interior situated. This summer is going to be a lot of fun.
