99 tahoe 5.7 Cant figure out the problem
Hows everyone doing so my 99 Tahoe 5.7 recently overheated on me when i was idling then went away as i drove looked in the radiator there was not much coolant check the oil it wasn't milky need help trying to figure it out heard people saying it could be intake manifold gasket or a water pump but few days ago i got to work turned the truck off and it started gargling. anything helps thank you

It was gargling because it was low on coolant and air was passing through the heater core
Fill the cooling system and pressure test it. Then look for leaks. Intake gaskets are common, radiators are common. It could be plastic fittings leaking if you have rear heat. It could be a lot of things. Its 18 years old. If it is the intake gaskets, replace them with the updated set. |

ALso if I sit for a long time at a light it hesitates then it’s fine won’t have a problem when I drive no smoke comes out if I stop and idle it smokes and my injectors are also bad to so I don’t no what’s going on I got all the gaskets I might just replace everything

mine was running out of coolant. my tech found small leak from intake gasket. seems like its a common issue. better catch it before it leaks inside as well as out.
