Boss 338 wheels don't fit
I just did a front disc brake job with new rotors after installing the drop spindles. It all went well until I tried to put my Boss 338 wheels back on. I then noticed the hubs on the new rotors are not tapered like the ones I took off. I went back to the parts store to see if they gave me the wrong rotors but they said what they sold me is correct for a ’72 disc brake setup. I had an old rotor with me and they said it looks like someone machined them to fit the wheels! Close look at it and you could see the work that had been done. When I got home I searched this board and sure enough several people said they did exactly that, one even posted a picture of what he had done. Thank you to everyone that posted the “fix” for Boss 338 wheels, it does take a load off my mind. This board is awesome. Now where is my grinder and flapper disc?!?!?!

not sure you could get the parts store you bought them from to help you out but if you had access to a brake lathe you could chuck them up in it and set it up I the drum mode so it moves the cutting bit in the right direction and cut a little off the nose of it that way.

Re: Boss 338 wheels don't fit
I have actually thought about running a small spacer on my front wheels so I could run the newer Chevy center caps on the wheels. It wouldn't take much of a spacer.
