Re: Hot Rod Power Tour 2018
I agree, and everyone I talked to liked it. Its fun to be on tour, but by the last day you're completely petered out (especially if it's been 100-105* everyday like it was for the 2016 tour through Texas/OK) and you're ready to head home. You don't want to hang around an extra day just to pick up your sign.

Re: Hot Rod Power Tour 2018
Alright guys, we have discussed some of the details and it looks like this is going to happen. We have created a Facebook Event page (https://www.facebook.com/events/218431142034538/) for those interested in attending. Like Jeff mentioned, everyone is welcome. We can hold up to about 100 trucks so spread the word and invite whoever you would like.
The only piece we are undecided on is what day/time to have it. We want to accommodate everyone and I know some guys will have a long drive home after the ceremony Friday. Is it best to have it Friday after the goodbye ceremony? Or make it an all day thing on Saturday? I know the locals will say Saturday but I am curious if the guys who have a long drive home will typically stay the night Friday night or start the drive back on Friday? Let me know what you guys think, we are pretty flexible.

For the HRPT veterans, what do you do Friday evening after you get in from the tour? Mooresville is close to the track so if you were staying overnight you could get a hotel in Mooresville and hit the road Saturday. If we did a friday evening dinner cookout at Steve's place, we could do an evening cruise to the Cats Patch "Cruise In" in Troutman afterwards. Awesome. Haven't seen ya in a few years. Have you talked to Geoff? (GCBurdic) I texted him on Friday and haven't heard back. Any where is Andy4639?

Wow, I haven't talked to Geoff in probably a few years since he stopped posting on here. Glad to hear he still has them both!

Re: Hot Rod Power Tour 2018
The 64 SS is officially going on the 2018 HRPT!
Unless something happens between now and then! Have a few small things to fix and get some things in place but it should be a fun week.

Bump, getting closer. Just checked the official route, looks like it's going within a couple miles of my house.

Re: Hot Rod Power Tour 2018
The 64 SS is not going but I'm still taking a car! I will be rolling in the 56 Bel Air instead.
New third brake light and LED tail lights installed.
