Re: 1972 Blazer Rear Disc Brakes

If you want to part it together yourself you can use the rear calipers off a 77 Eldorado, they have a built in parking brake.

the Eldorado calipers are small and only use a lever to apply pressure. the Tahoe calipers are twin piston and use a drum in hat emergency brake... that would be my preference.

Re: 1972 Blazer Rear Disc Brakes

Do not back up with the parking brake on if you do the drum in hat axle (don't ask me how I know!).

What master cylinder and booster are you running with that set up?

So I have a unique setup. I have large twin piston calipers front and rear. I also upgraded to hydro-boost from the 2005 GMC 2500 that my rear axle came out of... I used a wildwood adjustable proportioning valve to be able to adjust as needed...

There is a lot of good information to read over here....
