New diy electric fan!
Hey guys. Just wanted to share my electric fans! Here are some pics.
Used pn d1855b fan switch to activate the fans through a relay. The fans themselves are from an ls1 camaro fan/shroud combo. I made my own shroud with sheet metal to clean it up a bit. Still need to clean up the upper shroud a bit that I already trimmed. May trim it some more. |

How about some details on the shroud? That is the key to a good system and yours looks good.

Re: New diy electric fan!
Sorry for a late response. The shroud is actually just sheet metal. Fits perfectly on the radiator in between the tanks on the side. Simply folded it welded the corners and painted it. Used a jig saw with a metal blade to cut the holes. As for the temp sensor I got a thermostat housing spacer with 4 1/2" tapped holes in it. Plugs came with it as well so I'm only using one hole. You can see it in the third pic and you can see the sensor as well. Had to get a bushing from 1/2" to 3/8"npt.
